About CGT Events
The Committee on Global Thought sponsors and cosponsors a variety of events every semester focusing on our four primary research topics: Global Governance, Migration, Poverty and Inequality, and Secularism and Diversity.
Additionally, Global Thought sponsors events on issues of contemporary importance related to the Committee's work. Our events critically address global issues from an innovative, interdisciplinary, social science perspective. While some events are targeted at specific academic populations, most events appeal to the broader Columbia University community. Our guests include academics, policy makers, and other public figures. All events are free, and most are open to the public.
