French economist Roger Guesnerie is Economic Theory and Social Organization Chair at the Collège de France and Chairman of the Board of the Paris School of Economics. His research has covered applied and theorethical public economics with special attention to issues of taxation, redistribution and public policy. In addition to two volumes on the assessment of rational expectations, he has written on the economics of sustainable development, the greenhouse effect and other enviromental issues. Recently, Professor Guensnerie was also co-editor of The Design of Climate Policy (MIT Press, 2009) a collection of essays by economists that debate the future of post-Kyoto Protocol climate change policy with special attention to the feasibility and desirability of international cooperation.
